Home Trial Support
In our Home Trial Support service we replace a number of the on sites visits required during a clinical trial with nurse visits to the patient’s own home; in many cases up to 50% of the trial visits can be performed in the home, which significantly reduces the burden on the patient. We have seen recruitment rates increased by up to 60% when utilizing Home Trial Support and repeatedly report retention rates >95%.
Reducing the burden on the patient and family is a powerful tool to enhance recruitment/retention and is advantageous for most patient groups – reducing travel for elderly or infirm patients and enabling active patients to continue with their normal lives.
What can be done in the home?
Any visit that does not require a doctor to be present and where any equipment required is portable can be performed in the patient’s home.
