Research Nurse - Neurology

Job Description:

MRN are looking for a research nurse with neurology experience to support a busy clinical research department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. The nurse will be experienced in venepuncture and cannulation and will have a good knowledge of Good Clinical Practice.

The successful candidate will be employed directly by the MRN and the post is full time for 12 months. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing, unique organisation.

Qualifications, Education & Experience
• RGN/RN Adult essential registered on the NMC register
• Qualified for at least 5 years
• First degree desirable
• Evidence of ongoing dynamic continuing professional development
• ICH-GCP training & qualification
• Previous experience in the conduct of clinical trials (3 years minimum) particularly Neurology experience
• Advanced Nursing Practice or CPR skills desirable.
• Evidence of CPD and the maintenance of a current professional profile required
• A thorough understanding of the research administration and regulatory systems gained through at least 3 years experience within a research environment.
• Computer literate with knowledge and practical experience in IT applications, including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, email and internet

Clinical
• Have the appropriate clinical skills in order to undertake trial specific and routine assessments as per trial protocole.g. venepuncture/cannulation, vital signs, ECGs, drug administration etc.
