The Medical Research Network (MRN) was launched by our CEO, Dr Graham Wylie, as a separate UK limited company after de-merging from Healthcare at Home (HAH) in November 2006.

The MRN was originally founded as a division of Healthcare at Home (HAH) in 2005 to formalise the clinical trials business developed over the previous 14 years. HAH had helped many sites and companies to run components of over 50 clinical trials. In 2005, we formalised the new divisions services into those we offer today.

After an initial 9 months of marketing the new services, the division was spun off as an MBO with HAH remaining a significant shareholder. In preparation, the management was augmented to add key data management and project management skills. This year we have already supported over 10 new projects, so that over 40% of projects over entire history have been run in the last 2 years.

As we approach the end of our first year of independent trading, our company is in great shape. We expect to record 2 consecutive years of 80%+ growth and already have a broad base of customers pursuing long term projects. We are new but we have a long and successful history!
